Dating back to medieval times, Catherine Cottage has been renovated to a high standard, while retaining its original features.

Kick off your boots and hang your coats in the hallway, then enter the lounge to see the stunning honey-coloured gritstone fireplace with  large wood burner.  Watch TV, read or play a game while settled in the comfy armchairs and cosy couch. The high-spec separate kitchen/diner has all the equipment you need for your stay and a dining table seating up to 6. There is a handy downstairs loo, and a small covered yard outside for bikes or equipment.

Upstairs the large, high-ceilinged master bedroom looks out to hills over the village, with a king sized bed, sandalwood antique wardrobe and drawers, character easy chairs and a trunk box for your case. The light airy back room has twin beds and a view over gardens to the hills behind the village.  The sunny bathroom’s new suite has a Victorian-style towel rail, large sink, over-bath shower, and full-sized bath for soaking after your day’s adventures.

We provide bed linen, towels, toiletries  and cleaning materials, plus a welcome basket of milk, tea, coffee and biscuits, as well as logs for your first fire.  Superfast broadband, a smart TV with Freesat and a DVD player, plus USB charging points are available.

Dogs are welcome but please note, there is no garden at the cottage.
